All too frequently young women find themselves unexpectedly and unpreparedly pregnant.  And having no idea of how to deal with this potentially devastating situation…they need help.  Some women may have family or friends to rely on for support but many do not.  Facing motherhood alone, women need the help of a caring community willing to ‘take them in’ when there is no place to go.

To help meet the needs of unwed mothers, Rachel’s House was formed with a vision to assist women in crisis through a shelter plus care program.  The vision of this program is to provide housing and vital life assistance for women with many needs but few resources. 

A supportive home can bring stability and hope for a young mother with nowhere to go.  She is with others who can understand and empathize with what she is experiencing.  There’s always a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on.
